About

Lotte and Tilly sticking their heads out of a big pile of costumes

DragonBird Theatre is an early years theatre production company based in Bristol, UK.

We have been running early years theatre, song and play sessions for little ones and their grown ups in the South West UK for over ten years. We use vibrant sets, props and performance styles like puppetry to create exciting worlds - engaging imaginations in parents and children alike in a setting where they can comfortably and confidently play together

  • How many tickets do I need to buy for my group?
Each person attending needs their own ticket. Additional siblings under 3 months old are free.
  • Who can book a concession ticket?
Our concession tickets are open to anyone who can't pay the full price right now, no questions asked.
  • What can I expect from a live session?
Our live sessions offer 50 minutes of gentle, engaging theatrical play and song along a theme or story. After ten years of experience bringing theatre and play to children, our venues and group sizes are picked with care and our sessions are carefully crafted to ensure that everyone has a joyful experience.
  • Will you add any other new days/dates or venues?
We coordinate our venues and timetabling one term ahead. Our days of the week at each venue vary term-to-term and we try to cover as many different days as we can! We also add new venues from time to time - if you have any suggestions or work for a venue you think we'd be a good fit for, contact us below. Our newsletter subscribers (subscribe at the bottom of this page!) are the first to know about our new dates and any new venues, so sign up if you want to grab tickets before they sell out.
  • Are the sessions/venues accessible?
We do our best to select our venues with accessibility in mind, and always put relevant details on our website i.e. stairs etc. If you have any questions about the accessibility of our sessions, either regarding the venue or the content of the sessions, please contact us below.
  • Can I book DragonBird Theatre to come to my school/event?
Yes! We love bringing our live sessions to lots of different settings. Our current live offering is DragonBird Song, which you can find out more about on the 'Live' section of our website. Get in touch below to enquire - note we generally don't take bookings for weekend events i.e. children's parties.
  • I won a raffle ticket at my last session! How do I use it?
If you were lucky enough to win one of our ticket raffles, theres no need to pre-book - just turn up at any session within six months of the date on your voucher at the same venue where you won it. If you need more tickets in addition to the two you won, you can book those online.
